![]() Then Chris looked on the computer and another room 5 doors down from ours which was an upgrade that we could move to! She asked if we wanted to look at it first but I said no and my friend and I got the new keys and moved all our belongings to the new room, The first thing we did was put our few items from the cooler into the refrigerator which the new room had and to our surprise found 2 frozen bottles of beer and what looked like blood from thawed meat on the bottom shelf. After hearing 2 people who came in told that they were full I was then told there was a room on the 2nd floor we could move to but she knew we wanted the 1st floor. I told her I never wanted to stay there again, just wanted my money refunded. I said we would need a refund then, as this was unacceptable! Chris said she wasn’t authorized to give me a refund but gave me s manager’s card and told me they would be back on Monday and maybe could give me a free night at the Red Roof Inn another night. After showering Zi reiterated this to Chris at the front desk who said this couldn’t be done as there was no one still working who could clean the room. ![]() I told him that we would shower and while we were eating I wanted the room cleaned up. Our dismay occurred again upon opening the door to find that the room hadn’t been touched! Beds were unmade, trash not picked up and towels not replaced! My friend went to the desk where a gentleman said he’d bring us towels which he promptly did. We went to the front desk where a pleasant woman, Chris, fixed them. The next day we left at 8am for a day at the Grand Mesa, arriving back at the motel at about 5:45 pm, anxiously awaiting a hot shower and dinner at the restaurant there, as we had just walked almost 13 miles! Much to our chagrin we found both our key cards didn’t work. 21st and were pleased with our room and the front desk welcome. ![]() We had a smooth check-in on Friday, Sept. for a fun weekend of hiking and looking at the changing colors of the aspens. ![]() My friend and I went to the Red Roof Inn in Grand Junction, Co. ![]()
