I have no problem with the music, but I can understand how people not feel thrilled to play a game when there is no real music to get them excited (other than the battle drums that signal whenever a bad guy starts picking a fight). The streets are usually hit with soft whilring sounds and quiets beats of various echoey drums, still, suitable to the scene, but not as dramatic as Soul Reaver. If you enjoyed the theatrical music of Soul Reaver and it's sequel, then you might be a bit let down in Blood Omen 2. If you like colour, you'll get over it, it's not that big a deal, I think the colour schemes match the enviroment and mood of the game, and the lack of colour could not be avoided. There is no lush green fields and pink posies in Nosgtoh, it's a dark decaying world, much like Soul Reaver, and game reviwers all over hte world have complained about this, saying it lacks imaginative sense. The game has been slandered for being relatively monotonous in it's colour. In some cases, the characters are talking faster than their mouth is moving. In the sequences where the characters talk, there is some lipsyncing issues that weren't adressed before completion of the game. So the Lightning and the Soul Reaver are the worst spell and weapon in this battle.Time for the bad points. So you should use either one-shot-kill spells (vs humans - Blood Shower or even Control Mind / Spirit Wrack) or weapon with the small enough damage (Axes in the last battle with the "puppet from the future" which is invulnerable to spells), otherwise the HP of enemies will pass through the 0 of the number of the type word (2 bytes) and you will need to remove these extra HP. This game has another more critical bug - on the last battle with Moebius. (The second one demonstrates the described bug or feature with catching Azimith's spell after the final strike.) So the correct battle tactic - Soul Reaver in the hands of Kain + at least 4 magic runes (for her death from just one strike) + moving to the Azimuth by the arc of the spiral WITHOUT catching her spell and with the full ignoring of summoned demons (you can kill them too if you have enough magic).Ībout using of Repel spell - now I am playing in BO1 using my mod with the permanent effect of Repel spell for the range attacks, so - by the logic of some players that wrote in this thread - I can't finish the battle with Azimuth at all, but it is not so.įrom the other side, my mod also provides double normal speed of Kain and I can say that Azimuth is teleporting very fast, so even such speed is not enough to reach her for the final strike (especially due to described above bug). The only real problem is the pushback if anything hits you but you can definitely get close enough that the huge range of Soul Reaver will hit her.Īzimuth is teleporting WHEN YOU CATCH HER SPELL (it does not matter whether or not you use Repel spell at all) + there is a real bug if you catch this spell after making final strike by her. Hope this helps anyone who runs into the same issue. In order to beat her I DID NOT USE the Repel spell and instead try to dodge the green magic orbs as best I could to get a hit on her with Soul Reaver (at full magic it does kill her in a single hit) The demons she summons are pretty easy to just walk around so it's just a matter of timing but it's definitely not how this is supposed to work. She doesn't do this if you aren't shielded by the spell though. The issue is that the boss seems to react to your Repel spell by teleporting far too quickly for you to even get close for a sword attack. Sorry to reply to an old thread but I found a similar issue playing the game. Her teleporting is so wild that at times she will teleport before I even get her on screen. Lasermaster: I have been trying to beat this three eyed hellspawn for hours at this point and I haven't gotten so much as a spolid openingen to swing on her.
